Success Story : Eric Atagotaaluk

For this first issue of the “SED Success Stories,” we would like to shine the spotlight on Eric Atagotaaluk, who recently announced his decision to move on from his role as YES Coordinator for the Hudson coast. Eric has been with KRG for 21 years. He started in the Sustainable Employment department as part of the Income Security team in Inukjuak and quickly moved over to his position at YES around 2014.

He has always been committed to community engagement and renewable energy, which is certainly what led him to spearhead the Innavik Hydro Project. This multi-million-dollar venture hopes to meet the electricity and heating needs of the entire Inukjuak community for the next 20 years.

This is of course a great loss for the Sustainable Employment department and KRG as a whole, as Eric has been a dedicated employee for such a long time. Nonetheless, we would like you to join us in wishing him all the best as he takes on exciting challenges in his new role at Pituvvik Landholding in Inukjuak.
